Experimental Mastodon relay running on Google App Engine by @sven@techisland.social. The code will be eventually open sourced on GitHub.

You can request to connect your instance by adding https://relay.techisland.social/inbox to your Mastodon instance. Send a DM to @sven and ask for approval. Once approved, you can delete and re-add the relay with instant approval (within one minute).

Instances that would like to share their activities with the Fediverse but prefer not to receive updates from other instances can opt in to only send but not to receive activities. This will allow large instances to share their data with small instances to increase discoverability (through hashtags, for example) while keeping additional load (e.g from other large instances) lowe.

This service comes at no SLA. Content from connected instances is forwarded without analysis, processing or filtering. If your instance is not well moderated, creates spam or harrasses others and is being reported to the admin of this relay, then your instance will be banned.
